In a battle of unbeaten, the Philadelphia Reign hosted the defending league champion Atlanta Monarchs on June 22 walking away with a 81-74 victory. Just two WBDA teams now remain unbeaten - Philadelphia Reign (7-0) and Toledo Threat (6-0).

The home team jumped on Atlanta early behind Alison Lewis who scored 11 points in the first quarter. Philadelphia led 29-18 after one, but the champs battled back in the second cutting into the Reign advantage to 47-42 at the halftime break.

The two teams would go toe-to-toe in the third with the Reign holding on to a three-point lead after three quarters. In the end Lewis, a University of Delaware graduate, would lead the charge scoring seven of her game-high 27 points helping her team outscore the Monarchs 15-10 and the win.

Three players put up double-digits for Philadelphia with Lewis leading the way. Former UCLA star and Philadelphia native Markel Walker scored 20 points while Vanessa Neal chipped in 12.

Former WNBA player Latoya Bond led Atlanta scorers with 17 points. Raven Northcross-Baker (Arkansas Razorbacks '19) put up 14 with Tatiana Wayne (12) and Ijeoma Uchendu (11) provided the Monarchs offense.
